 Many people are interested in Lasik vision correction procedure and wish to be familiar with the benefits, the dangers and how the Lasik operation works. One of the foremost factors to take into account is what requirements a person should meet in order to have a successful Lasik operation. Though each individual case must be discussed with a qualified Lasik physician, here are a number of guidelines to establish if you are a suitable candidate for laser eye surgery.
First, the eye should be properly matured. Therefore someone below the age of majority really should wait before a Lasik operation is done, as it is likely that the shape of their eye will continue to vary for a few years. If the shape of an eye changes after the Lasik operation is completed, the clarity of sight could be affected. Also, the vision prescription for the Lasik candidate should be stable for about one year, and preferably for longer than that. |
